Bishop warns on rising disunity among South Sudanese citizens

Auxiliary bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba, Santo Lako cautioned South Sudanese citizens against division in the country.

 

Speaking at St. Theresa last Sunday, the religious leader expressed concern over the growing trends of disunity among the communities of South Sudan. He stressed that there is visible evident of division on tribal and regional lines among the people of South Sudan.

 

“This situation of tribal division must be addressed” he said. 

 

The bishop advised that division has sundry negative impact on citizens.

 

“It hampers progress” he asserted.

 

He further called on South Sudanese citizens to forget the past and love one another
